Senior Team Opportunities

Abbeydale competes in every level of team tennis from the 4th Division of the Sheffield & District Leagues to National Division 1 of the Ladies National League. So, whatever your level, Abbeydale has a team for you.

Abbeydale was one of the founder members of The Sheffield & District league, which is the oldest established tennis association in the world !! - We have 3 men's teams, 4 Ladies teams, plus mixed and junior teams all representing the Club weekly in the Sheffield & District Leagues.

The Club also enters teams into National competition for the higher level players and the ladies are currently in National Div 1 of The National League and the men compete in Div 2.

Junior Team Tennis

For juniors, we compete in the National League in all age groups from U10 to U18's. In the Summer we compete in the Sheffield & District LTA Junior leagues.

For the very young, Abbeydale plays in the South Yorkshire Mini Tennis Leagues for U8, U9 and U10 ages, at the Mini Red, Orange & Green levels.

The Club also runs internal and external tournaments for junior players. In September 2009 we launch our Winter tournament programme of Mini Tennis events, Grade 5 junior tournaments, and an open adult / junior tournament.
